Get Started | Photography

Are you interested in taking your photography to the next level? Join this ACE Get Started, FREE 10-week course. Each participant will work on an individual project of their choice. The project might involve whanau, friends, an interest in history. Just about anything could be the focus of your interest.

Learn about editing photographs and sequencing them, and how the different edits and sequences can dramatically change the narrative and the interest in your photography.  Share work with other course participants to learn from them and work in groups practicing skills learnt on the course. Hear from well-known figures in New Zealand photography.

The group will work towards publishing a zine based on your project and be part of a group exhibition at the end of the course.

While this is NOT a course for beginners and you will need to be familiar with your camera’s controls, if you have basic camera skills then this is the course for you.
