About the event
Meet in Gisborne at 8:00 am and head to Ōpoutama, parking behind the local shop/garage.
Cycle to Kopuawhara Road, then lock your bikes and walk along the railway line through the tunnels to the Kopuawhara Viaduct.
Continue to a viewpoint overlooking the river and the monument before returning. Don’t forget a headlamp or torch.
