Morere Scenic Reserve

Join the Gisborne Canoe and Tramping Club for this walk. The Ridge Track and Mangakawa Track at Morere take 3 – 3 ½ hrs to walk. There are 5 stream crossings, so this walk is weather dependent. There are lots of steps both up & down. Lovely bush & birdsong. It costs $3 to walk the tracks (charged because of the secure parking facility and toilets provided, and to assist with pest trap maintenance costs) and $14 for a soak in a hot pool. The Morere Hot Pools are expected to reopen in July.
