About the event
Deaf Aotearoa bring a wealth of services and connection to Gisborne once a month. Services that support the Deaf or hard of hearing in our community gather at St Andrews Community Hall. If you need help with traveling to these support centre events, support with travel cost maybe available. At these monthly gatherings, Deaf Aotearoa provide:
- Opportunity to have a chat and to meet other Deaf people
- Free information and support services advice
- Translation support (e.g. support with reading letters and forms etc.)
- New ideas for ACE workshops
- Information about Deaf Aotearoa services
- Information about assistive equipment for Deaf/hard of hearing
- Presenter from government agencies, service providers, etc
