Air Emissions Training @ EIT

The Slash for Cash Community Air Emissions Initiative is offering fee-free Air Emissions Training, designed to strengthen environmental compliance, build local technical capability and increase public confidence in innovative biomass carbonisation technology.

The programme will independently test and verify emissions from Slash for Cash’s three mobile carbonisation kilns while training local operators, iwi representatives, council staff, environmental practitioners and community members in air emissions monitoring and best-practice environmental management.

The initiative supports New Zealand’s climate adaptation and circular economy objectives by demonstrating how forestry slash can be safely converted into valuable biochar products while meeting stringent environmental standards.
