About the event
Australia’s premier bluesman, Ash Grunwald, brings his electrifying live show to Aotearoa for the very first time on a full-length tour, landing in Tairāwhiti for one unforgettable night.
A festival favourite and natural-born storyteller, Grunwald is known for his foot-stomping blues, stacks of guitars, and raw, high-energy sets that get the crowd moving. Part troubadour, part sonic force, he’s rocked stages worldwide and supported legends like James Brown, The Black Keys, Jack Johnson, and Xavier Rudd.
Enshrined in Aussie music folklore, Grunwald delivers a tsunami of roots, bass, beats and blues a sound that moves the body and stirs the soul. With six Australian Top-50 albums and a slew of accolades under his belt, this is blues at its boldest.
