ĀTA National Wānanga 2025
The ĀTA National Wānanga returns in May 2025, inviting Aotearoa’s outdoor therapeutic community to a five-day experience of learning, connection, and cultural exploration in Te Tai Rāwhiti.
Taking place from May 17–21, the wānanga is divided into two parts:
Part One (May 17–19) – A noho at Pāhou Marae in Tūranga-nui-a-Kiwa, featuring waka haurua and traditional navigation, rongoā, mahi toi (arts), waiata, and karakia.
Part Two (May 19–21) – A journey along the Tairāwhiti coast and into the ngahere at Ruatoria, guided by mana whenua who will share their expertise on traditional plant uses and deepening connections with te taiao. Limited to 20 participants.
With a focus on nourishment, knowledge-sharing, and weaving cultural perspectives, this wānanga offers a unique opportunity for both personal and professional growth. Registrations open in the new year—spaces are limited.
