About the event
Waiora isn’t just a play, it’s a powerful journey into whakapapa, identity, and belonging. Set in 1960s Aotearoa, Hone Kouka’s acclaimed work follows a Māori whānau as they grapple with disconnection, migration, and cultural survival. It’s a story that speaks to the soul and holds deep resonance for our time.
