About the event
Join in an effort to clean up/survey our beautiful city beach. Wondering what litter surveys are? Well... they feed INVALUABLE data into the Sustainable Coastlines 'Litter Intelligence' project https://litterintelligence.org/, which in turn helps to inform much needed regulatory change, i.e bans. It is thanks to these beach surveys that the first series of problematic plastic products, such as cotton buds, were banned.
Meet outside Waikanae Beach Surf Life Saving Club. Bring your own gloves if you have them.
