The surfing Nationals are in Gisborne, 11-17 January 2026, and as part of the event, Gisborne Boardriders Club is hosting two epic movie nights during the week.

CREATURES OF HABIT:
The new short film dives deep into the raw, bone-numbing world of cold-water surfing. Filmed across remote water landscapes in Canada and Iceland, the film showcases the desire to face the elemental. It’s about confronting uncertainty and embracing the discomfort that defines some of the world’s inhospitable but massively rewarding surf zones.
