About the event
You don't need to be a great singer, just be able to sing in tune.
The aim is to build a professional quality singing group we can be proud of, and that sounds GREAT, singing a wide variety of contemporary music from genres like pop, rock, jazz, musical theatre, Gospel, country, folk, R’nB and more, both with and without musical accompaniment.
Musical parts, harmonies, arrangements and singing will follow a modern contemporary format and sound, with a lot of variation and different “moving parts”. There will also be opportunities for solos, duets, and acoustic instruments.
If you can sing in tune, can commit to weekly practices, can learn song lyrics off by heart, and can attend yearly performances, consider joining.
As the choir grows and evolves, there could be opportunities to enter national competitions and join the New Zealand Choral Federation.
