Steven Spielberg's 1975 classic based on Peter Benchley's best-selling novel brought to the screen with stunning power and unbearable suspense. A persistent shark terrorises a coastal community. Once the terror begins, Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw join forces on a quest to destroy a killer embodying nearly three tons of great white death.
Winner of two technical awards (editing, sound) and Best Score at the 1976 Oscars. Winner of Best Score at the '76 BAFTAs and '76 Golden Globes. Jaws became the highest-grossing film of all time (at the time) and changed the game for blockbusters (and swimmers).
