Dome Spotlight Screening | The Truman Show

Directed by Peter Weir (Picnic at Hanging Rock, Gallipoli, and Dead Poets Society), the film stars Jim Carrey as the unwitting star of his own wildly popular reality show. The secret is kept by his friends, co-workers, and neighbors while the producers and staff of the show steer the plot for the millions watching his life unfold. The facade starts to slip (a stage light weridly falls out of the sky) and so begins his attempts to unearth the secrets propping up his wildly impossible life.

This film was well ahead of its time and it seems hard to believe that it could've predated our media-saturated present with such accuracy.
