About the event
Joaquin Phoenix and Reece Witherspoon star in this 2005 biographical drama about country music legend Johnny Cash's life. From his days on an Arkansas cotton farm to his rise to fame with Sun Records in Memphis, the film follows Cash's early life, his romance with the singer June Carter, his ascent in the country music scene, and his drug addiction. Winner of Best Actress in a Lead Role for Reece Witherspoon at the 2006 Oscars, BAFTAs and Golden Globes. Walk the Line also won two additional Golden Globes - Best Actor for Joaquin Phoenix and Best Picture (Comedy or Musical).
