Where the wild teachers are: Journeys into the regulated world of early childhood teaching. With: Katrin Macha (Director of the International Academy Berlin’s Institute for the Situational Approach) and Andrew Gibbons (School of Education, Auckland University of Technology). 'Regulation' is a very current topic for early childhood teachers right now in Aotearoa New Zealand. In this seminar we explore regulation as experienced by early childhood teachers. We share a concern for the ways in which teaching is intensely regulated, and the impact of regulations for the ways in which early childhood teachers study and practice their teaching.
