It’s Cervical Screening Awareness Month and Te Wānanga o Aotearoa have partnered with Health NZ and Ngāti Porou Hauora to make screening even more accessible for women in various locations throughout the month of September.
"Time to Cervical Screen" will be at Whirikōkā Campus on the 17th and 19th of September from 5pm - 8pm. We need your help to spread the word and encourage as many wāhine as possible to get screened. Bring your māmā, sister, nanny, cousin, aunty, and friends so we can make cervical screening a normal part of our health journey together!
Cervical screening is free for Māori and Pacific aged 25-69 and no appointment is needed—just come along with your whānau. They'll have a qualified screen-taker onsite, with screening options including the easy self-swab test.
