About the speaker:
Benny Meredith is a freedive instructor, spearfisher, and the New Zealand women’s freediving record holder, having reached 47m deep with fins. Raised in Te Tairāwhiti before moving to Auckland, her journey back to the water in 2020 reconnected her with her tīpuna, kaimoana, and the mental and emotional benefits of freediving and spearfishing.
