About the event
Join the Friends of the Museum in the gallery for their Summer friends talk with Curator of Photography Dudley Meadows.
Dudley is the curator of new collection exhibition 'The Millard Studio', which opened in the main gallery on 10th November. He'll share the story of how this remarkable collection of glass plates, negatives, hand-coloured prints and paintings, long thought destroyed, were found and donated to the museum and how, in working through this material the life and trials of the talented Millard family unfolded for presentation in this exhibition.
The talk is free for current Friends of the Museum (bring your friends card for entry) and $5 (pay on the day) for the general public.
Places are limited so registration at the museum is essential to reserve your seat. Sign-up at reception, or contact them on 06 867 3832 or info@tairawhitimuseum.org.nz.
