About the event
Sew You Sail Up-cycling Workshop: A Journey of Self Discovery and Sustainability gives an the opportunity to sew and grow together. Participants in this FREE 6-week workshop explore the stories of self and sails, reflecting on one's passions, values and goals.
Just as communities of women would gather together weaving, this workshop invites keen beginners to create bags from up-cycled sails and materials in an effort to reduce landfill waste. Tutor Vicki Cosson explains, "This is not a space for perfectionism, but rather curiosity, creativity and freedom to be and learn more about yourself."
This 6-week workshop runs on Saturday afternoons from 1pm - 4 pm, 16 September to 21 October. The location is EIT | Te Pūkenga Tairāwhiti Design Room, PG101 (driveway next to KFC).
