Gizzy Laser Half Marathon

For the second year in a row, the folks at the Gisborne Harrier Club are holding the Gizzy Laser Half Marathon for walkers and runners, sponsored by Laser Electrical and Plumbing. The main event is 21kms, out and back, following the new stop bank track along the scenic Waipaoa River. If shorter distances are more your thing, they offer 5 & 10 km events too. This is a flat and fast course so if you're looking to run a PB or looking for an easy walk in the sunshine with your mate, they've got your covered.

50% of all proceeds will be donated to our local Cancer Society.  

The event is a fun, family-friendly morning out. The race starts and finishes at the lovely Matawhero Wines. While you're basking in your post-run euporia, relax on the lawn with coffee, sausage sizzle, live music, and spot prizes. To avoid a queue on race day, the Harriers are offering packet pick-up on Friday, 17 November at Neighborhood Pizzeria from 5-7pm. Swing by during this time to collect your race number(s) and T-shirt(s). Stay for a drink and chat with your friendly committee members.
