About the event
GRACE A Prayer for Peace, directed by Dame Gaylene Preston, is a cinematic collaboration with Dame Robin White (Ngāti Awa).
What begins as a conversation grows into an exploration across Aotearoa, Kiribati, and Japan, weaving together art, community, and the urgent questions of our time.
Through White’s practice and the voices of her collaborators, Preston’s lens captures both the weight of environmental destruction and displacement and the enduring threads of beauty, humour, and hope. Strong, tender, and transformative,
GRACE invites audiences to reflect on what we value, how we live, and what we choose to protect.
