Help Shape The Future Of Wainui Beach | Community Workshop #2

Wainui Beach is more than just a beautiful spot it’s a place of deep cultural, social and environmental significance for our region. But like many coastal communities, it’s feeling the pressure of erosion and climate change.

Gisborne District Council is working with locals to develop the Wainui Coastal Adaptation Plan, a long-term strategy for managing current and future coastal risks. This Phase 2 workshop is your chance to learn about the draft adaptation options on the table and to have your say on how they stack up environmentally, socially, culturally and economically.

This is a space for kōrero, collaboration and collective thinking all to help shape a resilient future for Wainui.
