About the event
Directed by Franck Dubosc, this dark crime comedy follows married couple Cathy (Laure Calamy) and Michel (Franck Dubosc) in the serene Jura mountains. Their quiet life is upended when a bear causes a car accident that accidentally kills two criminals and exposes a stash of illicit money. Choosing to keep the money, their well-meaning but clumsy attempts at a cover-up set off a chain of unpredictable and hilarious events.
More used to honesty than crime, Michel and Cathy’s bumbling efforts soon draw attention, leading to a suspenseful and comedic rollercoaster. With over one million admissions, How to Make a Killing is the third highest-grossing French film of 2025 and showcases Laure Calamy at her best in a mix of dramatic tension and comic disaster.
