About the event
This course introduces students to the traditional Māori art of Taniko weaving. Taniko is a weaving technique that uses threads
to create patterns rich in cultural meaning. Students will explore the foundational skills of the Taniko process while learning about
its application in traditional garments such as korowai (cloaks), tīpare (headbands), and pari (bodices).
