About the event
Cycle the dunes trail (a rough trail in the sand dunes), or road, out to the Waipaoa River, then the Waipaoa Awa stop bank cycleway, to Riverpoint Road. Head to The Royal for coffee. Return via backroads, coming back to town on Nelson Road. Home by lunchtime. That's roughly 30km, all flat.
Alternatively, people could cycle back to town through Makaraka.
You will need a roadworthy bike with cycle lights, and fluoro or coloured clothing.
Meet at Midway Surf Club at 9.00am.
