NEW ART SHOW ~ Earth Elements by Teressa Matthews.
Meet the artist in store at the Aviary Sunday 27th, 10am-2pm.
Show starts on Tuesday 22nd August and will run until September 16th.
Teressa Matthews is a local artist. Born and lives in Gisborne.
She studies at The Learning Connextion and is an active member of The Gisborne Arts Society.
She paints in acrylics, printmakes, linocuts and does etching.
She also works in copper wire for her sculptural work.
Statement: Earth Elements
'I create to express my motions and communicate my thoughts and feelings about the environment around me. The elements of water, air, rock and land structure are my inspiration.
I work in multiple mediums - paints, wire and printmaking.'
