About the event
Set against the stunning Gisborne marina, this nautical-inspired Chardonnay and canapés event brings together exceptional local wine, food, and people for a memorable evening.
Guests are invited to don their favourite maritime attire and gather at Crawford Road Kitchen, where some of Gisborne’s finest cuisine is created. Overlooking the marina and railway bridge, the evening offers sweeping sea views while premium Gisborne wines are enjoyed alongside locally produced canapés.
The event will feature tastings of four wines, including Prosecco, an unwooded Chardonnay, and two barrel-fermented Chardonnays, showcasing the depth and character of Gisborne’s renowned Chardonnay region.
Winemakers from TW Wines and Thompson’s Wines will be in attendance, sharing insights into their wines and the stories behind each bottle. The owner of Crawford Road Kitchen will also speak to the food pairings and their passion for fresh, local ingredients.
