Frances McDormand stars in 2021's big Academy Award-winning film as Fern, a woman who loses everything in the Great Recession and embarks on a journey through the American West as a van-dwelling modern-day nomad.
Based on the non-fiction book Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century by Jessica Bruder, director Chloé Zhao features real life non-actor nomads in supporting roles which truly make this film a powerful and authentic glimpse into a life outside of conventional society. Winner of numerous awards across the globe including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress for McDormand. A must see!
