Park Run | Special Holiday edition

Park Run, a regular timed 5km, happens in parks and reserves the world over, but always on Saturdays at 8am. Gizzy can be proud of our course, a family-/stroller-/wheelchair-friendly course that starts in the small recreation area between the Waikanae Surf Lifesaving Club and the tennis courts and follows the coast and river front. 

It's a free, timed event for runners and walkers of all speeds. Seriously, all paces are welcome and there will be someone running or walking around your same pace. Some people are out there trying to shave time off their 5km pb. Others are out for a Sunday stroll, their weekly walking date with a mate. 

All you have to do is register with parkrun and print out your bar code. From there, you just bring that along each week and stretch the legs out. You can find more info here.
