There’s something special about a story read aloud especially when it’s created right here in our own backyard.
Join local author Sarah Charteris for a warm and engaging children’s storytime at HB Williams Memorial Library, where tamariki are invited to gather, listen, and imagine alongside the much-loved rescue duo, Chopper and Frank.
Written, designed and produced in Tairāwhiti by Charteris Choppers, this rhyming book series brings to life the real-world adventures of a father and son team, with “An East Coast Mission” introducing the characters and the latest release, “A Mahia Mission,” taking readers on another heartfelt journey.
With each book sold, $5 is donated to the Eastland Helicopter Trust adding a layer of community care to every page.
Storytime takes place Friday 10 April at 10am in the Papatipu | Launch Pad space a gentle, joyful way to spend the morning these school holidays.
