Get your togs and enjoy the start of the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. For the 4th year in a row, a big group of people get together to jump in the ocean and swim around just as the sun is coming up.

In some places, the summer solstice marks the first day of summer, when the sun reaches the highest point in the sky. The day is long and the night is short. The sun is most potent on the summer solstice and is recognized as a time of powerful healing.

This is a free and casual event. Swim if you're confident in the water. Otherwise, enjoy the summer solstice sunrise from the shallows.
