About the event
Tairāwhiti Musuem have two Sunday Floor Talks coming up, led by, Peter Ireland and Dudley L Meadows, co-curators of current exhibit HAND-COLOURED: Photography's Parallel Universe 1850s -2012.
The first talk is on Sunday 13 October starting at 2pm. It features Peter Ireland and Dudley L Meadows in conversation about the history, development and technical aspects of this much ignored but fascinating phenomenon. Audience participation most welcome.
Then starting at 2pm on Sunday 10 November, members of the public are encouraged to bring in hand-coloured images from family collections for discussion with co-curators Peter Ireland, Dudley L Meadows and other members of the audience.
The talks are free for current Friends of the Museum (bring your friends card for entry) and $5 (pay on the day) for the general public. Places are limited so registration at the museum is essential to reserve your seat. Sign-up at reception, or contact the museum…
