Tairāwhiti Career Firefighter Info and Practice Evening

Come along to the Tairāwhiti information and practice evening to find out what it takes to become a career firefighter.

The session will cover: 

• What a firefighter does 

• A breakdown of the recruitment process and how to prepare 

• What the 12-week recruit’s course entails 

• Fleet and equipment used by firefighters 

• Opportunity to practice aspects of the Physical Pre-entry Test (PPT)

• A chance to meet our firefighters, and pick their brains!

You'll get a 20-30 minute "classroom" session and then try aspects of the physical competency tests. Fun and informative!
