About the event
Tamararo is the oldest kapahaka hui in the world at 71 years.
We celebrated the Senior qualifiers into Te Matatini earlier in the year at the Gisborne Showgrounds.
On the 30th of November and 1st of December Te Poho-o-Rawiri Marae will host the Kapahaka Primary School Qualifier to Te Mana Kuratahi as well as the Junior (High School Local Competition).
If you're looking for a whanau-friendly event, tena nau mai haere mai ki Te Poho o Rawiri Marae.
Entry for each day is cash on the door, $5 for school-aged children, $15 for adults. Under 5s are free.
