About the event
This August, the Dome brings Mike Nichols’ sharp, stylish, and subversive The Graduate back to the big screen for one night only.
Starring Dustin Hoffman in his breakout role, the 1967 coming-of-age comedy follows recent college graduate Ben Braddock as he drifts home to a future mapped out by others, only to tumble into an affair with the alluring Mrs Robinson (Anne Bancroft). Matters take a complicated turn when Ben is pushed to date Elaine (Katharine Ross), Mrs Robinson’s daughter, and romance and consequence become dangerously entangled.
With Hoffman’s dry wit, Simon & Garfunkel’s now-iconic soundtrack, and a coolly cynical edge, The Graduate remains as fresh, funny, and biting as it was in its Oscar-winning year.
