The Tūranga Bal

This year, Good Folk: Dances from Planet Earth are hosting Folk Dance New Zealand’s annual gathering in Gisborne/Tūranga, featuring dance tutors both local and from afar, visiting especially for the event. With time for old favourites and new tricks. And all taking place in a very special place out east. Calling all musicians! Ever wanted to play for dancers?  The Balfolk dance workshops at this weekend feature parallel musician workshops. Learn the tunes, practice on the day, and be part of a magic evening of Balfolk dance on Saturday night.
