About the event
The Voles, formed in the latter part of 2022, brings together a lineup of returning locals and old friends. comprising Joe Alexander (former member of Fighting Like Stags and Jens Motion Control) on vocals/guitar, Ben Emms (Fighting Like Stags, Jens Motion Control and Frisky Boyy) on keys/percussion, AJ Bradley (Persimmon) on drums, Albert Gooding (Concubine) on lead guitar, and Andrew Cornford (Nation) on bass.
Upon AJ Bradley’s return to Gisborne a while back, she felt the need to get a band together. When she crossed paths with old school friends Joe, Ben and Albert, and everyone's-favourite-out-of-towner Andrew, her villainous schemes came to fruition!
The Voles’ craft compositions usually stem from a pop motif that is put through the band's dirty and sticky fingers and comes out with their unique blend of spaghetti grunge, garage rock, stoner rock, and vamp rock influences - resulting in a genre-defying sound. But! If you…
