About the event

This gathering is a unique opportunity for rangatahi (youth) to unite, share their voices, and connect with each other and leaders.

They are honoured to have renowned economist Shamubeel Eaqub as the keynote speaker. Shamubeel will provide an insightful analysis of the future of the Tairāwhiti region, delving into economic trends and opportunities. He will also offer a comprehensive post-budget analysis focusing on how the recent Budget impacts youth in our region. This is a valuable chance to better understand the economic landscape and its implications for our community. The event will also feature a panel of rangatahi discussing hot topics that matter to them. These young leaders will share their perspectives, experiences, and ideas, sparking thought-provoking and inspiring conversations. Following the panel, there will be interactive discussion sessions where attendees can engage directly, exchange ideas, and collaborate on solutions to the challenges we face. This event is open to all rangatahi (15 to 25) in the Tairāwhiti region who are passionate about positively impacting their community.
