About the event
The Wairoa Māori Film Festival is BACK, and as part of the 75th Anniversary of Kahungunu Marae will be presenting MOVIES AT THE MARAE, this Labour Weekend.
This is more than a film festival—it’s a homecoming for stories of Māori, Pasifika, and Indigenous voices, after two difficult years for the region.
All screenings are entry by koha, with proceeds supporting Kahungunu Marae's whakairo restoration.
