About the event
Matekite/Tohunga - Wiremu Niania - Co-author of Award winning book, Collaborative and Indigenous Mental Health Therapy - Tataihono: Stories of Maori healing in Psychiatry, and his wife, Lesley Niania, (Mahi Wairua lead Trainer) facilitate this interactive workshop / wananga.
While all are welcome to attend, this wananga / workshop is designed for multiple practitioners and clinicians, social workers and health professionals for all ethnicities and beliefs, for clinical leaders, trainees and researchers, counsellors, church leaders, students and anyone concerned with the mental health and wellbeing of those in their communities.
These sessions move beyond academic information to application of te ao maori principals. You will learn how to bring these tangible powerful concepts into your professional practice.
