Do you want to have a say about how we manage our food, construction, event, household waste etc?
What else could be we doing to reduce waste here in Tairāwhiti?
Tairāwhiti Environment Centre (TEC) is hosting community hui on Thursday 13th of February to gather and progress ideas for the upcoming Waste Minimisation and Management Plan (WMMP) 2025-2032. This sets out Gisborne District Council's actions and investments for waste.
The WMMP only comes along every 6 years so please attend to share your thoughts. Many of you have already shared wonderful ideas and waste solutions. TEC will collate the past two years of feedback, summarise (without personal names) and report back to GDC.
There will be two sessions with the same agenda, 9-11am and 4.40pm- 6.30pm, to give all those interested a chance to attend. Please share with those you know who are involved or passionate about waste kaupapa.
