Martha has invited a young married couple she met at the party for a drink. Surmising that the invited husband is the blond, athletic new professor, George is reluctant, but Martha gives him no option....

Adapted from a play of the same name, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf redefines the depths of how low a drunken and dysfunctional marriage can go, and is done very entertainingly as well! Elizabeth Taylor absolutely shines. Arthur D. Murphy of Variety wrote that her: "characterisation is at once sensual, spiteful, cynical, pitiable, loathsome, lustful and tender". The film won 5 Academy Awards.
